Intex unveils first 5 inch phablet in Indian market. In recent times we have seen some quality wide display smartphones i.e. Micromax A110, Spice Mi-500. Now Intex joins the phablet shoot-out with Intex Aqua 5.0. Built on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich platform the handset is powered by dual core processor. SoC is unknown. Possibly it’s Qualcomm MSM8225 Snapdragon S4 that same SoC that is used in Karbonn A9 Plus. Intex may also have used Qualcomm MSM8625 Snapdragon S4 Play that is used in Karbonn A21.
It may also be that Intex have opted for all new MediaTek MT6577 SoC that is used in Micromax A110, a90S, Spice Mi-500. chances are high that it’s Qualcomm Snapdragon S4. Will update actual SoC soon. Anyway, 512 MB RAM is there is also. Enhanced multitasking is pretty much ensured. You can download and play many games in this handset.
Intex Aqua 5.0
Like other Indian companies Intex incorporated dual sim functionality. The 5 inch display of Intex Aqua 5.0 supports 480×800 pixels WVGA resolution. Rear facing 5 MP shooter is there with LED flash. Front facing camera is a 1.3 MP camera that is useful for video calling. It’s a 3G supported handset that supports wireless connectivity over Wi-Fi, Bluetooth. Internal 4 GB (approx 2 GB free) memory can be increased by another 32 GB by inserting micro SD card in the slot. Li-Ion 2000 mAh battery is the source of energy of this handset.
Basically, Intex Aqua 5.0 is a hybrid of Micromax A110 and Karbonn A21 (Karbonn A9 Plus). Display resembles Micromax A110 while camera, SoC resembles Karbonn A21, A9+. Still the credit goes to Intex as they have done well to confine price at Rs. 9999. Take a look at the key features-
