Micromax A101 vs Micromax A110: Are you in need of a smartphone that sports wide display? You also need it at around 10k. Right? At this point of time you will see Micromax A110, Micromax A101, Karbonn A21 in this price segment. You must be confused to see Micromax A101 as it costs more than A110. Both of the Micromax phablets show off similar specs. Some how the manufacturer is claiming some additional bucks although there is no noticeable advantage is there in A101. Rather A110 is better! It has strong community. Developers are working on custom ROMs. Performance is quite satisfactory. Camera quality is also good; at least in day-light. I do not see any reason of buying Micromax A101 over A110.

1. Design
From out-side both of the smartphones look quite similar. Canvas 2 comes with 3 capacitive touch buttons while the number is increased to 4 in A101. Also the first one is slimmer and lighter by a fair margin.
2. Performance
Both runs 1 GHz dual core processor, 512 MB RAM, Android 4.0 ICS OS. You can expect that performance will be similar in both occasions.
3. Camera
For some unknown reason camera sensor is turned down to 5 MP from 8 MP in Micromax A101. LED flash is there but do not expect brilliant photography from any of these handsets. Day-light shooting or in adequate light photography is simply brilliant. LED flash is the culprit here. Front facing VGA camera is there in both handsets.
4. Display
Both Micromax A101 and A110 sport 5 inch display and support FWVGA 480×854 pixels resolution. Although Micromax is claiming AGC Sodaline coating is there in A110 it does not make much difference here. I wonder whether it exists or not. Possibly, the same coating is used in A101 as well. It’s not confirmed so far. Gorilla Glass would have been ideal for such big display.
5. Connectivity
In connectivity front, there is no noticeable difference. Both supports Class 12 GPRS/EDGE connectivity while in HSDPA network both hits up to 7.2 Mbps speed. Bluetooth, Wi-Fi with hotspot connectivity, micro USB are common nowadays.
6. Battery
Micromax A101 boasts 2100 mAh Li-Ion battery while A110 uses 2000 mAh battery. Battery is terrible especially if the signal strength is poor in your area. Do not expect more than 3 hrs of gaming or web browsing. The battery is not to big in A101 which means similar or slightly better battery life will be provided by Micromax A101.
7. Audio & Video
Music player sound quality is good. Video plays well till 480p. If you download MX Player from AppMarket the phablet runs HD video. But streaming in not good. Sound goes off automatically every now and then. So, consider your handset lacks HD video playing option. I do not know whether with V2 ROM (for Micromax A110) HD video is functioning properly or not.
Micromax A101 vs Micromax A110 Conclusion
Rounding everything up, you can see A110 is better than Micromax A101. Both costs almost the same. No pouch or cover is provided by Micromax with the sales pack. If you do not get one try the pouch of Samsung Galaxy Note.

2) do all phone r dual active handset

@Santro extremely sorry for the delayed reply. Happy new year to you and ever other visitors of Tech2Auto. First of all, none of these handsets are dual active including MMX A110, Karbonn A30. Sony Xperia E Dual can be a good choice but remember it runs outdated Snapdragon S1. Out of the box JellyBean and xLOUD Audio Filtering are the best features of the handset. Although the display size is small it’s a compact handset in all respect. Same thing I can say on Xperia Tipo Dual. Both these Xperia handsets are similar apart from the version of Android. I would never suggest Samsung Galaxy Ace Duos. If it was Galaxy S Duos it’s perfect. But no other handset I would recommend. Videocon A30 is quite impressive. But you know, Videocon is still not considered as a premium smartphone manufacturer up till now. Not sure about after sales service. I am not sure about the availability of Huawei T8830 in India. Therefore, I would say wait for Xperia E Dual or head away to Xperia Tipo Dual.

i found that these phone don’t have call blacklist facility……i need it ( as sometime i had to blacklist some calls)……
if not then, can i install any app for that…if yes do name the app.
or then suggest mobile with call blacklist facility….(dual sim)
Yes, no inbuilt blacklisting facility. Some app would be ideal.
