Samsung Galaxy Grand Duos or SGH-I9082 is spotted in Saholic. It’s the best dual sim smartphone Samsung have ever announced. Earlier the dual sim variant of Galaxy S2 was launched in China only. This time Galaxy Grand Duos is coming to global market and India as well. In recent times we have seen Samsung release all their products in India before it’s even up for sale in western countries. HTC Desire SV is the only dual sim smartphone available in Indian market with more than 20k price tag. Soon it will be partnered by the Grand Duos. In all respect the droid is compact and comes with latest hardware. In CES Samsung also unveiled the single sim variant of the handset SGH-I9080. Both are same in terms of features apart from dual sim support. Samsung Galaxy Grand Duos uses 1.2 GHz dual core processor. Exact SoC is unknown. Possibly, it’s dual core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4. Samsung Galaxy Grand Duos sports 5 inch WVGA TFT LCD display. Display has just 187 ppi pixel density which is very poor. Display quality of Micromax A110 is better than Galaxy Grand. To reduce the price Samsung have opted for TFT LCD instead of Super AMOLED. It would have been better with IPS LCD instead of TFT LCD. Built on Samsung TouchWiz UI the phablet is built on Android 4.1.2 JellyBean. Accelerometer, proximity, gyroscope, magnetometer sensor are there.
Samsung Galaxy Grand Duos equips 8 GB internal storage and micro SD card slot expandable up to 64 GB. Along with dual core processor 1 GB RAM is there. In connectivity front the droid shows off HSPA speed up to 21 Mbps while download. Dual band Wi-Fi (2.4 GHz – 5.0 GHz), Bluetooth v4.0 and micro USB are there. Most probably there is no HDMI connectivity option for MHL link. The phablet has a 8 MP rear facing shooter that records full HD video. Front facing 2 MP camera is there as well. Although Saholic has listed the droid they have not mentioned exact price of the phablet. Release date is also unknown. You can expect it by the end of this month.
