Sony Xperia S, the previous flagship was launched in market with lot of promise. In feature list Sony included several technological miracles. Unfortunately, in front of Samsung Galaxy S3 it failed completely. At the early days it was doing well but slowly disappeared from the market. However, it’s not that bad if you think you can manage with a dual core processor. As compared to recent smartphones Xperia S is outdated as it runs dual core Snapdragon S4 and 1 GB RAM.
However, still you can play most of the games available in Android market. Sound quality is awesome. Thanks to Sony 3D Surround and xLOUD Audio Filtering Technology that are behind superior sound clarity. Loudspeaker sound is good. You can adjust equalizers or set bass according to your preference.
Powered by Sony Mobile BRAVIA Engine Xperia S sports 4.3 inch LED-backlit LCD Capacitive touch screen display with 342 ppi which is more than impressive. Timescape UI delivers better user experience. Social media apps are integrated quite superbly. The droid equips a 12 MP rear facing camera that captures outstanding images be it day-light or low-light. LED flash, auto focus, face detection, smile detection, 3D sweep panorama, OIS are there for better shooting experience.
Video recording is also quite brilliant. It shoots full HD 1080p video in the presence of video light whenever required and video stabilization to eliminate shakes out of recording.
Sony Xperia S belts 32 GB internal storage with approx 26 GB free. There is no micro SD card slot. Although 26 GB is plenty of storage you can’t increase memory if it’s required. The best alternative would be 50 GB free cloud storage that Sony is providing for life time bundled with this handset. TV Launcher and NFC are two useful features of Sony Xperia S. In Indian market Sony Xperia S price is Rs. 25,990.
