Sony Xperia Sola is one of the beautiful looking mi-range smartphone. Performance wise the dual core droid is quite brilliant. It hardly lags while starting normal applications. Basically it’s a refurbished Xperia U with micro SD card slot. During the process Sony removed the front camera which is the only drawback of the handset. Rear facing 5 MP camera is a standard. I would not say it’s the best in market but overall picture quality is good. Dual core 1 GHz processor, Mali 400-MP GPU and 512 MB RAM ensure fast multitasking.
You can play most recent games in it. Internal 5 GB storage is lot. Actually, it’s a 8 GB ROM but system leaves approx 5 GB free. Micro sd card slot is there too to increase memory as per requirement. You can move unnecessary applications to SD card using some sort of app like Apps2SD.
Best part of Sony Xperia Sola is 3.7 inch Floting touch display. This is a special type of display where you do not need to touch the display to perform anything. Hover finger from 1.4 cm above display is just what you need to do. If you stay in Himalayan region normally, you put on hand-gloves during the winter. In that case, this is the best handset you will get it in market.
It works even if you touch the display with hand-gloves on. Sony Mobile BRAVIA Engine powered display is simply awesome and vibrant. Sony Xperia Sola supports high speed HSDPA connectivity with max achievable speed of 14.4 Mbps which is pretty impressive. In GSM network up to 100 Mbps GPRS and 296 Kbps EDGE speed are impressive to say the least.

I have heard there are mutliple problems with upgrading sola to ICS..is it true? wat are the possible disadvantages of staying wid gingerbread nd nt updating? i mean except d multitasking nt avlble on gingerbread..do most good games nd apps run on gingerbread or they require ICS?
No ICS should run properly on Xperia Sola. Use the official ICS upgrade. Gingerbread is very stable, gaming compatibility is excellent. No need to upgrade unless you see apps are asking for OS upgrade.
Pls reply quickly …srry for the inconvience caused.
